Unrest at the Rest Home : Resistance to management change

Abstract

Charity Trust National runs a number of social service and rest home agencies in greater Auckland. The organisation has been losing money on the rest home arm of its social services and appointed a new CEO, Logan Williamson, with the central aim of addressing the issue. Logan Williamson instigates a number of changes, the first of which it is to implement an organisation-wide training programme for staff. How does his approach to managing the change influence stakeholder responses? Different staff members make difficult decisions.
